Did these people adverstise on TV? If so, I recall a few commercials that made me think: "Wow...the way they're advertising this could completely confuse people into thinking they are buying real U.S. minted bullion."

My guess is so that they can scam more "suckers" with plea's for money for their "legal defense fund".
It'll work too. People are stupid.
Ken
Exactly,
we have enough people that would confuse this token for real money, Sadly enough. Hence why I think they should either make the coin look "less real" or not advertise it the way they did.
Someone who mistakes liberty dollars for US dollars is too stupid to live.
Not really, the back sides are almost identical - certainly easy enough to fool someone if you gave it them with the back side up.
THAT is the problem.
The people who designed and minted these coins (when the law is VERY CLEAR that such "money" cannot resemble US money too closely) are the ones "too stupid to live". Not only that, but the government warned them REPEATEDLY that they had a problem and they didn't do anything about it.

Now THAT'S STUPID.
Ken
Cite on warnings from government?
Please post a picture of a liberty dollar and worthless metal US minted coin next to each other to prove your claim they're close to identical.

It is very difficult to counterfeit silver.
Silver coin is cash lawful money of the United States.

I DID.
Look back at the 2 pictures in post #6.
One is a US dollar, one is a Liberty Dollar.
What - did you get confused and not realize they were 2 different coins?
