The right wing is lucky to have the Phelpses. No matter how far to the right anyone is, no matter how loony their ideas, they always have the Phelpses to point to and say "Look, I'm not so bad." Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church are the villege idiots of the right wing.

I agree with the obvious... to ignore them is to CONDONE their behavior.... but some people always have to be condescending!

it's actually quite easy to ignore them. it's easy to ignore anyone. they are a fringe cult that tries hard to get headlines. I think there are only like 10 members of the church and they are mostly family.

you have no choice but to condone it. it's called freedom of speech. that covers "hate speech." it doesn't just cover the things you agree with.
