52 here! Not proud of it, not ashamed of it, just am.
I think that age has given me more patience. I still hold the same beliefs but am better able to understand where other people are coming from now. I'm more tolerant, and hope, wiser in fighting the fight.
I also tend to choose my battles, whereas when I was younger, I did a lot of tilting at windmills.
I also find that I can get away with more now, as the stereotype of my age is often underestimated. And I have learned to say "bless your heart" instead of "f you"- a very good skill learned from southern belles that I wish I had learned earlier in life!
We've had religion, political affiliation and vague region, how about age. An issue that may affect our way of thinking. Or not?
OTR, believe it or not I was just thinking of doing this exact poll today, interesting, I would have made itso you could see whos how old though, good job!
Yes, ellie, too, thought it would have been good to have the poll public. Perhaps another time!

Ha, ha! Good for you. I've cleaned up my speech a lot, too, at 48.
Using the "f-word" as if it was punctuation is a dreary and unimaginative form of speech.
Ditto.
I had already voted, but just realized we are attaching names to the ages.
Well over 40, Zonababe. Nothin' to hide, it's always been in my profile.
Sometimes I wonder if all my years of seasoning have benefited me.
I still feel very naive. And sometimes I can't tell whether I am now more tolerant, or merely resigned.
I do think my instincts are good, though.
Oh dear, age...it gets down to having to be so darn specific on this site that it prevents one from taking creative liberties. - there I go contradicting myself again.
I love being 40, the age of wisdom and indifference to really care bout how you look, what people think or what you acquire in life, rather what you had read lately, what you do for someone else and what your true values are, that is real wisdom! Yes, I know, I am full of myself, sobeit!
No big secret. It's been in my public profile all along.
It's odd though, 34 seems to have been the longest year EVER!
I can't even remember 29, or even 33.
I think I've got Reagan syndrome.

Yikes, you're just a kid. I'd be willing to gamble that in twenty years, your outlook on many things may change.
