The question is not what the Chinese and the French are doing. The question is how long before the government here requires "government spyware" on all computers. Oh sure- they will SAY it is to "block pornography" or "parental control" or to "prevent illegal downloading" but then they will ba able to block whatever they don't want you to see.

it is just another attempt by the goverment to bypass anyones encryption programs.

good luck getting me to go along with that crap.

Well, I'm not too worried about it. This is the second or third attempt to builds great firewall of china, yet folks keep getting information that discomfits the govt.

President Obama would not do it but GW Bush certainly would have if he thought he could pull it off by using "terrorism" as a reason. He pretty much trashed the Constitution as it was.
