Don't forget the most important part about you. The "key to life," if you will.

YOU'RE NOT A LAZY BUM!

*applause*

Take a bow, you anti- lazy bum, you.

And you still will be able to do that (pay for it yourself).

Some people do need food and a roof over their head, so health care will be pushed down in their priorities. (and they don't drink, smoke or do drugs).

Yes, exactly. And paying for health insurance is not necessarily the same thing as paying for health care. You can pay hundreds every month for health insurance premiums and still have to pay for health care out of pocket. And the trouble is, there's not much left in your pockets after paying the premiums.

I was told I can't get them! Only a doctor can request them and they will be send directly to the Hospital, not to the patient. I asked why and since I'm the patient shouldn't I give some kind of permission to transfer them...The said "NO"...they belong to the hospital and only other doctors (doesn't matter who) can get them...that is how we always we treated...We were told something and never saw the actual reports....all owned by the government...So they don't only tell you where you can go and when you can get your exam be done....all paid by the government or better said by tax payers money, but you aren't even allowed to looki into them. I never realized it so much , but since I'm here for almost 10 years I realize what a great country this is and hopefully it won't be a second Europe!
Of course only a doctor can request the x-rays. What's your point?

Is that all? I have BC/BS group coverage and pay out of pocket $10,000 per year because my employer can not contribute any longer. I pay a total last year close to $17,000 if not more because of co-pays. And I've been told it's going to get worse. So, what to do? Have a beer, I guess! Cheers....

Under Obamas plan the elderly will suffer the most. But that won't hold when he becomes old because he is better than you. Just look at how high he holds his nose in the air. I'm surprised he does not get nosebleeds.

So universal healthcare will be cheaper for you to purchase but your taxes will be higher. It may just even out. In my case, I would pay more in a UHC system than I do now which I don't think is fair.

It's more complicated than that. Also, you are speaking from your box, another words it's only unfair because your rate may increase and mine may decrease. I never did state that I'm 100% on board for a complete UHC. What I'm saying is what we have now is falling apart and needs fixing because soon you'll be in the same box as I. By the way my health is perfect, it is someone outside of my box that is driving the cost up and it's my wife. She falls, I fall, the kids fall. Why? Because she did what insurance companies do not like, she became very ill, shame on her and the hell with the rest of us.

As far as bgibbs42 statement goes Obama was a Senator. He has one of the best health care plans available, free of charge, for life, thanks to the taxpayer. No premium to pay, no lapse in coverage to worry about, no pre-existing condition to worry about, no high COBRA rates to worry about, no HMO to speed ones self to the grave, no worries of unemployment and losing ones insurance. Obama and the rest of the Senate and Congress wishes to thank all you taxpayers for the free socialistic healthcare plan, and family plans at that! Because they are special Americans.
