Shouldn't we wait until more information becomes available before castigating anyone?

And just why should we wait on those pesky things like details and facts that may stand in the way of some glorious pontification among reactionaries?

Posting opinion pieces as facts is a common tactic by someone that doesn't have facts. Go write on your chalkboard "facts don't back this op".

"The Weekly Standard" was perhaps the most vocal supporter of the disaster known as the invasion of Iraq. It is run by a right wing ideologue and read by Kool Aid drinkers.

It has about as much credibility as Dick Cheney

The source in an opinion mag, ran by Rwers, and thats off topic. Thanks again for the laugh GD.
The source is a congressman just back from Afghanistan. The WS reported it.

How pathetically lame.

So are you blaming America for 9-11?

No. Clinton's incompetence and inaction is to blame for 9/11.

Pointing out that the source is an opin piece rather than a news source is no different than when someone points out that Jon Stewart's show is entertainment, not news. It's not an attack to clarify that commentary on the news is by its very nature biased, and identifying that bias does help people evaluate the credibility and quality of their source.

The source was an opin piece. The legislator's observations led him to make several allegations. The opin piece, as editorial content, did not "report" the news, it essentially tried to create the news.
