Liberals despise freedom of speech. We are truly living in the world of 1984 or Fahrenheit 451.
No one will ever "bring back" the fairness doctrine because that would mean that all of the news time spouting liberal crap on the major news networks as well as CNN and MSNBC would have to be balanced by conservative news.
The democratization of the media is here to stay and your side will continue to loose year after year until you disappear entirely. Get used to it. It is your future.

Healthy liberal democracies have diversity of opinion. What you want, seemingly, is for only your side to be heard. That being said, talk radio in general is only mostly popular with baby boomers and older, just the same as TV news. Gen X and Gen Y prefer the internet. Heck, why should I have to waste time listening to talk radio, or watching the domestic news, when the same crap is parroted on this forum day in and day out?
We need to deal with bumping 2 1/2 year old threads.
Especially if those threads bring up right wing talk causing violence when the media riles up the masses with white cop kills (un) armed black 18 year old!
Liberal talk radio was tried in this country and failed spectacularly; color it gone because neither the listeners nor the advertising revenue showed up.
When are we going to do something about all the Nazis and racist that have taken over the AM band of the radio? It is no wonder we are seeing racist attacks and abortion doctors being murdered when you have people on the radio like Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, Gallager and the like on there all the time spewing hate at certain segments of the country and the President. It is time to start bringing back some balance on the radio by reimposing the Fairness Doctrine.
Just today some racist attacked the Halocaust Museum because he doesn't like the Jews. Immigrants have been attacked, blacks have been attacked, abortion docs killed in church and at home and there is little doubt in my mind that much of this is encouraged by talk radio and its venomous right wing extreme host.
You need to stop watching MSLSD (MSNBC).
It has addled your mind and eroded critical thinking skills.
Healthy liberal democracies have diversity of opinion.
Healthy liberal democracies have freedom of speech so that people can voice their opinions...this is what OP wants to take away. Diversity of opinion does not mean that people are forced to listen. That is fascism.

No, that is what OP wants, and obviously so. I believe that you already understand this.
Liberals already have the major networks, CNN, MSNBC, and 80-90% of newspapers and magazines, and OP and his lot are crying because there is a single outlet for conservative views.
What I am talking about s reality. Despite this last gasp under Obama the popularity of liberalism has been in in retreat at least since Clinton had to become a Republican in order to keep the presidency. With the opening of the media to conservative points of views, we have seen America agree more and more with conservatives, and liberal media, once a monopoly, is dying a slow , natural death. It is inevitable. No one can make money any more by spouting discredited liberal garbage that only 20% of the population wants to hear.
For whatever reason the Republicans have had a lot of difficulty with the presidency, but let me be blunt and you will have to be brave in understanding that Republicans control the House of reps by record majorities, took control of the Senate, have something like 3/5 of the governorships, and dominate three times as many state legislatures. Obama's only accomplishment, Obamacare, is wildly unpopular and dying a slow death of the thousand cuts. All of this is in an environment where the traditional liberal media continues to lose market share to conservative alternatives year after year. When given a choice, the people chose the conservative voice. This is a recipe for extinction for your party and its views. Make no mistake about it.

That is because they can't find jobs under this sluggish Obama "recovery." Once they get into the work force they will be listening to talk radio. That is why this medium flourishes amongst conservatives- conservatives, unlike mooching liberal deadbeats, rich limousine liberals or campus liberals, have actual jobs to go to and enjoy the convenience.
Obama is losing these groups forever for the left just as he is losing most of his coalition. People tend to get more conservative as they get older and obtain more wealth for liberals to steal anyway. It is good to be "idealistic" with other people's money, but it goes away with time when a generation actually starts paying taxes.
Being to busy toiling away for your corporate overlords to read is a farcical badge of honor.
