When are we going to do something about all the Nazis and racist that have taken over the AM band of the radio? It is no wonder we are seeing racist attacks and abortion doctors being murdered when you have people on the radio like Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, Gallager and the like on there all the time spewing hate at certain segments of the country and the President. It is time to start bringing back some balance on the radio by reimposing the Fairness Doctrine.
Just today some racist attacked the Halocaust Museum because he doesn't like the Jews. Immigrants have been attacked, blacks have been attacked, abortion docs killed in church and at home and there is little doubt in my mind that much of this is encouraged by talk radio and its venomous right wing extreme host.
I don't listen to those shows because whenever I hear snippets I get annoyed, I'd just as soon bypass it & listen to NPR. I don't think right-wing talk shows should be silenced at all, that would be counter productive to my stance of free speech & noncensorship. Sure, the things that are said can be completely ludicrous, just like what I see here on this forum everyday, but everyone's got a right to say things. I just have a problem when it gets to the point where it's beyond hurtful, racist, etc.
I gues this OP has never listened to LEFT WING LIBERAL radio. You want some hate speech, tune in! They have the hate speech down and have it fine tuned.
You know, apparently people are dealing with it, FOX is the top-rated news station in the country. If you don't like it, don't listen, or get your news of the day from CBS, NBC or ABC, you will find a bias there, as well. I am sure your remote control has more than one channel/station available to you.

The religious stations are just as bad on the bottom end of the FM dial where NPR lives, and they put up transmitters that can walk over any signal out there.
When Al Franken finally gets to D.C. maybe we can recast him in the role of a modern day Joe McCarthy and turn him loose to investigate Unamerican Activities.

Please. I know you just posted this to get a rise out of conservatives, and it's certainly going to work. But hey, just to humor you:
You can call conservatives racist all you want, but you'd be wrong. True conservatives look at everybody as an individual. We don't buy into the left-wing collectivist ideology that everybody somehow has a neat little group that they should fit in to. When the left implements or advocates policies that treat people different based on the color of their skin (affirmative action?), they're the ones being racist.
Also, where do you get off claiming that Nazism (and by extension fascism I assume) is a right wing philosophies? It's not. Nazi was a shorthand version of National Socialist German Worker's Party. The only reason anybody associates it with the right at all is because uneducated people feel there needs to exist some false dichotomy between Nazism and communism (as extremes on the political spectrum).
