In her interview with Lauer, she's straining to appear less shrill, appear more in control of what she's saying....which, I believe, is clearly an effort to be taken more seriously. It doesn't work, of course. I can barely stand to watch her and listen to her for more than a few seconds and can only imagine in my worst nightmares having to work with or for someone like this...
1. I am NOT in favor of attacking Politician's Minor Children ever, for any reason;
2. I am NOT in favor of parading politician's children around like stage props. I believe it IS acceptable to bring minor children onstage to introduce the children as part of the Politicians family since we have the right to know who our Politicians are. Regardless of how often they end up being used as stage props, it is NOT acceptable to attack the minor children, in any way, for any reason.
3. If/when a politician's minor children become adults and begin campaigning for their parents or any other politician, it IS acceptable to treat them as public political figures.
You were doing great up until #3. The child of politician is no more a political figure than the child of pro-athlete is instantly a pro-athlete at age 18. Extrapolate your logic to any other profession - does it make sense? Should I be able to track down your children and target them simply because of your position or profession?
Are you all lost on the fundamentals of basic human courtesy and decency?
Hannity has already claimed that this is the fault of Obama.
Once again, the thread is not about what anyone else says, much as you try to twist it. Who cares how Hannity views it? The thread is about how Letterman (representing the liberal opinion) attacked without any class at all the family of a public figure. This in defiance of his party leaders instructions.
Let's keep out eye on what truly happened and quit trying to redirect the conversation. Letterman screwed up and should apologize.
Point taken, I *did* misread. She *is* using Obama's classy statement as her current excuse to whine. Whoever thought Sarah Palin would hold up a statement from Obama, of all people, as something we should all heed and emulate?

In a few years, Obama will have an 18 year old daughter and a minor daughter. Let's assume he is still in office. Let's assume he is in Paris with the minor daughter. Let's assume he and the minor daughter visit the Eiffel Tower. Let's assume Rush L. makes a joke about his "daughter" getting knocked up by Sarkosky when Obama was not looking. We'll assume that Rush does not use her name.
Can you honestly in your heart tell me that Rush was not targeting a the minor child simply because he did not use her name? Would you for a second defend his actions?
McCain was the loss to the Republicans wit his constant talking down about them and his pride in going against them all the time. People got confused about who's side he was on. Palin was the one drawing all the crowds if you recall because conservatives finally felt they had a voice. She may not have been ready but it was not she who lost that one.
I have to lmao that she thinks this kind of nonsense is going to get her to the Whitehouse. She has absolutely no self awareness. She has the mind & perspective of a child in an adult body.
