Actually, it is a big shocking. Generally, porn stars are tested CONSTANTLY and are not allowed to work unless they have a negative test less than 30 days from the time of the shoot. In addition, many porn actresses are requiring condoms to be used during shoots, regardless of status.
I mean, like the article says, if someone is positive for HIV or any other STDs, they aren't allowed to work which means they aren't making money.

Sixteen cases since 2004? That's about three per year. Everybody just gets so excited because it's associated with porn.
Keep up the hysteria if you want to see oral scenes with condoms because that's where this is headed if the hysteria continues. Don't be surprised if actors are required to wear goggles during sex too. I'm being serious.
More likely, if they're forced to do those things, the producers will just go underground or leave the state of California entirely.
When you think of how much sex goes on in the porn industry, 16 cases is nothing.
