Until our Orion spacecraft program is realized (approximately 2015) the United States will depend on the Soviet space program, specifically Soyuz (60's technology) to bring supplies and astronauts to and from the International Space Station. I think this is a very bad idea. We should at least keep the Space Shuttle operating, until Orion is fully functional, President Bush mandated the directive to retire the shuttle, but it needs to be rescinded! We may get into political or other problems by soley relying on the good will of the Russians. Keep the shuttle going until WE can replace it with American technology.
