This line of reasoning always intrigues me. I'm not sure apologists for Palin realize just how incapable she has proven herself to be on the international stage and how narcissistic and petty and truly - and I am not just saying this to jump on the Palin insult wagon - truly unintelligent she is regarding matters of global import.

No one's frightened by her potential for greatness. Discrediting an opposing politician is politics, not about an individual. We are frightened for whether she might take one of her Donald Trump / Rosie O'Donnell style feuds to a point at which she launches a nuclear war.

Got a predicate to go with your fragment?

If you depend on MSM anchors to tell you what you think, you never will hear her say anything substantive. If, on the other hand, you listen to what she says or read a transcript, you'll see what her supporters do.

Groucho Marx asked the question, "Do you believe me or your own eyes?"

In this case you can simply read the original transcript.

ABC News Edited Out Key Parts of Sarah Palin Interview | NewsBusters.org
I saw her not answer questions in interviews. I saw her not answer questions in the debat. I saw her make untrue and uninformed statements that do not help her when it comes to her Presidential Quality. But hey, believe what you will, the Demos would apsolutely LOVE for the Republicans to nominate her (never happen) in 2012, why do you think that is?

Better yet, put the shoe on the other foot, what have the Repubs tried to do to Obama before the election, during the election and now after the election? I little bit of the pot calling the kettle black, ain't it. I just love it when posters forget their own tactics and whine when others use those same tactics against them, the term Hypocrite comes to mind for some reason, hmmmm.

No you are not a sexist. Sarah Palin is as anti-intellectual as they get. She is an embarrassment to women, uneducated, and unread.

You're just a decent Republican. Now if you voted and supported GWB...that's another story.

OMG please get a clue!! OK, get Sarah nominated for 2012! Please do!! There's no better way to assure Republicans to lose again. Has nothing to do with her being a woman! Or her being a Republican. It has everything to do with her being, ummm, I dunno, oh I know! Being an Airhead!!! No matter what party she belongs to, she's not qualified, PERIOD. It was insulting of McCain to appoint her just because she was a woman thinking women would vote blindly!

Along those same lines, I think Dan Quayle is a good example. Male or female, he was an intellectual lightweight who made silly comments and had no business having his hands anywhere near the red button. He was ridiculed relentlessly because of it. In contrast, someone like Colin Powell, with whom people may disagree, is never mocked. He has proven his intellectual abilities and his grasp of the issues.

Reap what we sow, I guess.

It's funny, though, how many people think the media manipulated us to see Palin as incompetent. It didn't take any media for me to hear her speak using her own words and endless sentences to realize, for myself - without anyone's help - that this beauty queen is in WAY over her head.

I understand that she appeals to a working class rural white family-oriented population with a long history of being skepitcal toward intellectuals, so I get why they defend her. In many ways, discrediting Palin as qualified is seen as a personal attack against the individuals who see a lot of themselves in her. I just think that demographic could do a lot better for itself - a lot of really smart, sophisticated people in that demographic. I've spent a lot of time living amongst them and there are many I'd vote for before her.
