You can draw your own conclusions but this is kind of interesting, especially the percentage of moderates.

Really good post and so true... Just look at the right wing in congress. With the exception of Snowe and Collins they all act like robots walking in lock step from the voice from LimpBall.

Default Stats.

Liberals still wont get this one.In their insulated world they still think that everyone else is like them except for "a few old White men".If 40% of our citizens are on the right side of the spectrum, that means that one heck of a lot of them are either female, middle aged, young, and /or a member of a minority.

Exactly. And many, if not the majority aren't hard right. Most are fiscal conservatives, hanging in the middle.

Interesting, but what is their definition of conservative? It looks like they allowed respondents to define the word for themselves. Some conservatives define it as meaning that they are socially conservative; others define it as meaning that they are fiscally conservative; and still others define it as meaning they want government out of their lives as much as possible - which then often means that they are liberal on social issues such as the legalization of drugs and same-sex marriage.

Also keep in mind that a plurality of Americans identify with Democrats. Next are independents, and then in third place are Republicans.

This is just because few people want to be called a "liberal". They'd rather be called a moderate or centrist, even if they are really liberal.

Amazing! I thought conservatism was dead, lost, sidetracked.

See, the left always confuses the GOP/republicans with conservatives - they are not mutually inclusive.

Which proves what many of us have been saying;namely, that the far left leadership of the Democratic Party has gotten out of touch with the ideology of most of their parties members.
