Do you feel groups such as Focus On The Family and other right wing groups are to blame for a rise in hate crimes against gays and lesbians?
Some groups claim gays are out to ruin the foundation of civilization or are out to recruit children in to the "gay lifestyle". Do you think this is a motivator for those who attack gays and lesbians?
No ... Groups such as Focus on the Family, etc have not advocated for violence against gays.

I wouldn't blame any organization directly, but some of their attitudes certainly don't help.

Sure, it might motivate some people to attack gays, but again, you can't "blame" any organizations for crimes unless they specifically encouraged violent acts or acted illegally as an organization; even then, only the individuals who commit the crimes are really to blame, not the organizations.

"The number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people killed in bias-motivated incidents increased by 28 percent in 2008 compared to a year ago, according to a national coalition of advocacy groups."

Great unbiased source!
Same thing I thought. I woud not put it past them to fabricate "crimes" to get their hate crimes bills past. They ghave done it before and so have others fabricated "crimes" to push agendas.

You can doubt the advocacy groups, but I'm not sure how you can doubt FBI statistics unless you think that everything in the world is a conspiracy against you.

No, they don't but they DO preach that things will get very very bad for all of us because of gays, Lesbians and transsexuals. Can you see where this kind of rhetoric can incite violence? I would hope so because you don't seem like a moron.
There is far more hate and bigotry coming from gays
Are you kidding, we have trouble stopping at rest areas on the highway, going into any straight bar, attending social events as a loving couple holding hands. Keep eating the asbestos though, since something has obviously halted your ability for NORMAL thought.

Many people who claim to be very NOT CONFUSED think they are normal, Russell Arthur Henderson, James Wenneker von Brunn, Darrell David Rice. If these are your heroes, then it is YOU who has the true abnormality.

So you would blame gays and lesbians for their own death due to another countries higher level of ignorance and intolerance. Interesting bases for your moral standards, sounds like the everybody's doing it clause. Maybe all the ignorant people will jump off bridges too. Join them.

Bigots, zealots, and racists, believe that the mere existence of their discriminatory focus is enough cause for confrontation. What we meet are people already full of hate and ignorance, this is what we need protection from. By your standards children who are molested are attracting, by their own fault, the molester.

It is a little hard to fabricate crimes when you visit the headstones. What shallow well of thought you must be drawing from should have its water tested for polluting your mind.

What I see is that, were there not a problem of bias motivated incidents - injuries, deaths and property crimes - there would be no need for the advocacy groups you seem to want to denigrate.
I personally never understood why people hate gays.
I believe it's more of a personality flaw and brainwashing on the part of the gay-haters.
