YouTube - BBC - Protest against Iran election results -please share-

Any chance we can borrow Lawrence Cannon for the next few years? Deer in the headlights Hillary, um, ahh, really isn't, um, you know, um, ahh, up to the, ahh, task of secretary of, um, state. How is it that Canada has more back bone than the US? We've created free elections in the nations to the East and West of Iran, but now that the most important of the three is fighting for honest elections we um, want to, ahh, monitor the, ahh, um, developments. We could be in a position to rectify Carter's mistake in the very near future. Isn't it a shame that at this critical moment the current administration is committed to Carter-lite foreign policy?

Sane people agree that President Obama is handling this superbly. Too bad you're not equipped to understand that America taking sides is the worst thing we can do in this situation.

Ah, but an uninformed cheap shot at your President - that's just too hard to pass up for an America-hater.

No fan of Obama, here, but, anyone else notice the inordinate amount of media coverage given to this? I just might back up my current president, for once, in a "Who cares about violence in Iran?", kinda way.

The main "opposition" guy, here, is the former PM, who ordered the slaughter of 30K-40K Iranians, during his reign.

The blogosphere is full of coverage, but again, who cares? These are the same people who shook the ayatollah's corpse out of his casket in, I dunno, 1989? If there were a clear, coherent movement over there for the West to get behind, for TOTAL, peaceful political change in that country, then OK fine. They're backing up this Mousavi or whatever clown? Gimme a break...

I have no illusions about the choices they had. My point is that the change we hope will come to Iran through peaceful means has no chance what so ever if the elections are rigged. The Iranian people could possibly be reasoned with, but the Mollahs are hell-bent on nuking Israel and likely the US also. That isn't in anyone's interest.

The dish rag explaination of the US's position, or lack there of, can only serve to encourage dictatorship in a soon to be nuclear power.

Why hasn't Obambi come out with strong words about Iran??? Can we get Lawrence Cannon as our president??? Can we do a trade with Canada.......in exchange for Lawrence Cannon, they get Obambi and Meeechelle.

Creating a free Iran is no more the job of the US Government than creating free elections to the east and west was.

The US Government should prserve, protect, and better the US....PERIOD!

It's time the bleedingheart NeoConfuseds learned that.

Yeah, that $70M+ towards Zimbabwe should really be curtailed by the neo-cons in power.

No one is saying that. What they are saying is obama should be condemning the violence and brutality, the corrupt and stolen election - but he won't even do that. Instead, he sits there with his finger to the wind while other countries step in the void where the US should be and historically has been.

There is nothing wrong with condemning such a process.

Should step in? Like Vietnam? Chile?

Why is it people whine when other countries comment on America yet feel we have the right to comment on anything we please?

Where's the outrage about being in bed with the brutal Saudi regime? Oil soothes that pain?

Where's the outrage over allowing the murderous Libyan regime to buy its way out guilt? Once again, oil?

It's time we stop this hypocrisy. We jump in bed with the world's scum anytime it suits our agenda, it's time we be honest with ourselves and admit it.
