I disagree with this whole idea. I know many people who voted for Obama only because the alternative was so unappealing to them. They are not fanboys or obots or obamatrons or whatever other "clever" names people can come up with. And nobody is saying anything to them or about them, except for the certain haters who make many claims that cant be backed up.

I think this is simply disgusting as well as you do.

I think the Republican party has been highjacked by those who are racist, uneducated, anti-American and to me THAT is simply disgusting. That is why WE (who are true Repbulicans) are working on rehabbing the disgusting image of our party that people like those hate filled religious nutjobs have given us.
Exactly. From the time I was the only person who supported George Bush 1 against Bill Clinton in my school's mock election (Perot got some votes, but it was basically all Clinton), I've always been a progressive Republican. I supported Dole in 96, and some third party candidates since then because I was appalled by the ignorance of the NeoCons and Bush 2 supporters.

To say that the Religious right isn't filled with primitive hate is to be completely blind. Get rid of those hateful nutjobs and the GOP will be back again. Build around intelligent men like Chuck Hagel (who is not in the senate anymore) and the GOP will bring this country back to a more mature and rational place in the political landscape.

Clearly the reason why it took so long for Blacks to be accepted into politics was racism, not their capabilities, and there's still plenty of racism present in the campaigns. Most of the die-hard Clinton fans who switched over to the GOP after she lost to Obama were 100% doing the switch because of race, because Clinton and Obama had basically the same policies.

And if the Democrats really wanted Socialism (the big bad word these days), they would have voted for Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich!

Actually your post ("Must Not Question the Left. Must Not Question the Left.") inspired me to go over and see what others who think the same way were up to.

Some were relevant -- "What will we do if ACORN + seven million ILLEGALS re-elect Obama?" -- and some were just funny: "Thank goodness for Fox News.....", "Wal-mart still creating jobs", "College grads want the govt. not the opportunity".

Exactly. I still would have voted for McCain (who I voted for and supported during the primary) but his choice of Sarah Palin was the most idiotic thing he's ever done. SHE is why I HAD to vote for Pres. Obama. Had McCain chosen Romney or ANYONE else over Palin, he still would have had my vote.

Sonrise, just saw your clarification - sorry, I misunderstood.

But these still crack me up.

Yes master, right away master. You bring so much to this debate Master.

That's why your side of the GOP is dying, you're not smart enough to realize that moving further and further towards fascism is not what this country needs. It needs to move towards Libertarianism, which is what the intelligent Republicans are doing.

Go ahead, support the Michele Bachmanns and Sarah Palins of this world...keep rallying behind morons like Joe the Plumber instead of scientists and Nobel Prize winners, all it's going to do is continue pushing more and more Democrats into the Senate until they are completely filibuster-proof. Smart plan...

I am done that comment about being a failure if your child was a plumber you'd be a failure as if there is something wrong with being a plumber.

I cant stand people that seem to think they are better then others

This country was built on people that were just plumbers
He's not a licensed plumber. If he was a licensed plumber who owned his own business, he wouldn't be a failure. But a guy who works as an unlicensed plumber at his age is a failure. Plus, academically, he's a failure.

I agree with Plumbers, I have needed plumbers plenty of times...but only LICENSED ONES.

The whole Joe the Plumber thing was based on a lie that he was about to purchase this plumbing company and suddenly be vaulted from an income around 40k to one in excess of 250k...he's no longer an unlicensed plumber, he's just like Spencer from The Hills now, famous for being famous without any semblence of intelligence.

Libertarians mostly think Krugman is a nitwit concerning monetary policy and that global warming is a hoax. In that regard, they are pretty aligned with even the neo-cons. Only neo-liberals really believe the Krugman Keynesian Klan (KKK) retards or the Gorebots.

There are people who are unhappy in every large organization. I didn't say YOU'RE the problem, I said you might be the one WITH the problem. If you don't like the Democratic Party, there are many other parties available for you to support. Considering that Democrats have been doing pretty well lately, I don't think they need to change much for the few who are unhappy with them.
