I'm not sure just what the ratio/comparison is between Congress and our armed forces, but national approval ratings for Congress are down in the 20 percent range the last time I checked.

Given the results of the recent California special election, I think there may be a faint glimmer of hope that the voters here in California are finally realizing that socialism is making America go from bad to worse. It would be wonderful if someone like State Assemblyman Chuck DeVore could acquire the fundraising capacity to challenge Ma'am Boxer in the next election; he's written a great column about her and our military here: What Is It About Liberals and the Military? - HUMAN EVENTS

California voters need to give this odious power-mad, full-of-herself politician her pink slip....or perhaps in her case, her *pinko* slip.

The approval rating for the CA State Legislature makes Congress' approval rating look high and for good reason.

DeVore as an Assemblyman has at least as much to do with CA's fiscal crisis as Boxer. Boxer doesn't vote on state budgets ; DeVore does.

While that very last statement of yours is by itself true, Boxer's votes in her capacity as a United States Senator have serious consequences for California and the other 49 states. DeVore's proper "No" votes are badly outnumbered by the Assembly Democrats voting "Yes" and making our business and regulatory climate horrible in the process.

Lest I get off topic focusing on budget issues and not Boxer's craptacular stance toward this brigadier general and our military at large....it is past the time for the voters of California to send her back to Greenbrae and collect her big fat pension for the rest of her days.
