A substantial majority of Americans say President Obama has not developed a strategy to deal with the budget deficit, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, which also found that support for his plans to overhaul health care, rescue the auto industry and close the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, falls well below his job approval ratings.
WASHINGTON -- After a fairly smooth opening, President Barack Obama faces new concerns among the American public about the budget deficit and government intervention in the economy as he works to enact ambitious health and energy legislation, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds.
These rising doubts threaten to overshadow the president's personal popularity and his agenda, in what may be a new phase of the Obama presidency.
New polls show the public increasingly concerned about the budget deficit, amid signs that the support for White House's economic policies may be slipping. During NBC Nightly News' lead story, Chuck Todd said an NBC/Walls Street Journal poll suggests "the honeymoon is coming to an end for President Obama, but it's not personal, it's professional, as now the public appears to be judging the President on some of his actions. And right now, there's a growing concern about the budget deficit, and some of this government interaction into the economy on things like GM."

Perhaps the nation IS starting to awaken, even in the face of the obama-media doing their best to prop him up.
That last one.....in the article now Obama is blaming Bush for bailing out GM?!?!
Obama was the one breathing down Bush's back and begging him to bail out GM to hold it over until he took office, Bush wasn't going to do it until Obama pretty much forced him to.....
This is the NYT article that had the mysterious changing headline sometime after midnight last night. The original headline was too harsh for the WH so they had to change it. This coming from one of the statist propoganda media outlets, I'm shocked, maybe people are starting to wake up....
