In other words, will the political entity that is the U.S. still be standing at the end of the 21st century?

None of us will know if America ends up surviving the 21st century.

It'll be gone before the halfway mark.

It could be gone in less than 4 years with the current government running things. Government gets larger and larger and we continue to lose freedoms and to be controlled. People have forgotten what made this country great.

It doesn't matter which party is running this country....it has NOTHING to do with who is in the administration.....

Save some unforseeable catastrophic event, I cannot imagine any reason why the US would dissolve in the next 100 years. Russia, Pakistan, North Korea, Iraq, Mexico, even the EU are more volatile and at greater risk of dissolution. The US can boast one of the most stable political systems in history. Peaceful transfers of power between leaders, a transparent judicial system, a free press; we have much to be thankful for.

Specifically why I did not say party and mentioned government getting bigger and bigger. It has not shrunk under Repubs or Dems but it will continue to grow. I still think that it will be the downfall of this country too.

After taking into consideration America's coming sociological and economic catastrophes I think this country will be lucky if it survives another 30 years.

There will probably be civil war in the not too distant future. I'm relocating to Singapore—independent free market city states and tax havens are infinitely more appealing.
