Why is it that in 10 years of smoking pot on and off, taking breaks here and there sometimes because the money wasn't there or I needed to land a job or some circumstance that required it, start again and then repeat the same process dozens of times - I have never spent money that was required for anything necessary on pot.
I know enough people like me to know that I'm not some kind of freak.
I smoke because I like to (as a matter of fact, I am "stoned" as I type here), not because I'm addicted to it. There's a difference.
A few years ago I was online late at night, bored and after smoking a couple bowls I took an online IQ test while I was blazed as hell. Got a 139. I didn't care to go through with it later having not smoked, but I had at least evidence that pot didn't make me stupid. All the propaganda had made me a little insecure at first, so it was a relief.
And you don't see how a father who gets addicted to pot, goes broke, and can't provide for his family might be slightly harmful to society. Yes, I know that already happens, except we actually try and stop it from happening right now.
No sir, I don't see how a father gets "addicted" to pot and goes broke. I do agree with Jfre81, if it's not available or you can't afford to buy it, you simply go without. No big deal. Are you confusing pot with heroin? What I do see is 800,000 arrests in 2008 for possession, 800,000 people who now have a criminal record, 800,000 who may lose their job or not be able to get one because of the record. 800,000 victims of a failed war against the citizens of these great United States. You gotta stop watching Reefer Madness. Can you name just 1 person we would all know who's life was ruined because he/she was "addicted" to pot?
I'm not a pot smoker, but who cares if someone wants to smoke it. I have absolutely no problem with adults getting high on pot. Who knows, we might have fewer wife beaters, less violence, and less drunks on our roads (don't stoners like to stay home and veg instead of going out to clubs and bars). Also, the gov't would save a lot of money and maybe we wouldn't have problems with prison overcrowding. I wonder how many Americans are still locked up for having less than 3.5 ounces of weed.
instead of the Gov't or (taxpayer) paying to keep the pot smoker in jail, it will reverse and the pots moker will be paying a huge tax in order to smoke pot! just like cigarettes.
yeah seriously. k its almost done, lets do quick three
