Ummmmm... this has been going on for a very long time and this will continue to go on. I think you have had too much of the Obama kool-aid.

Can we crush North Korea? Yes. (We could crush Iraq and Afganstan)
But, I don't think you understand the geo-political consequences if war began. (Just as most americans did not understand the geo-political consequences of going to war and occupying Iraq).

Swating North Korea would most certainly mean war and involvement with South Korea, Japan... and yes, China.
This would most certainly exhaust our military, waging occupation/war across over three countries. Heck, lets go ahead and crush Pakistan and Iran along with North Korea. I'm sure you will be serving to back up your words right? "Bring it On!"

A war in this region would bring more turmoil to the global economy than anything that is currently going on in Israel and Palestine. Comparing another Korean war with swating a fly is short-sighted.
Do you know the cost of going to yet another war?
Do you know how many people would die if this were to occur? "Bring it On!"

How, the Obama crowd sound more and more like the neocons. But, wait... Don't tell me... North Korea is different. "Bring it on!"

Sound familiar. Those words were uttered by Bush, a chicken hawk just like yourself. Perhaps, more people should serve in the military. Maybe then, we won't have so many #@$ so eager to swat flies.

We obviously do not represent common sense and reason.
Do you know how close we were to swatting Iran last year?
Do you think the Iranians would be in the streets, if we swatted Iran last year. No, swatting them would only unify support for the current government, costing billions of dollars of military engagement with another country. Let the Iranians solve their own problems. If it gets out of hand, than let the global community intercede.
As for Korea... do you understand that our current policies continue to alienate direct communications with North Korea and their neighbors. We fall into North Korea's strategy every time they come to us, and ignore their neighbors.

Our "world cop" attitude is breaking our piggy bank. How do you think the Soviet Union collapsed? Lets stick to priorities people. We already cannot afford the few trillion dollars on bailouts, the trillion dollars in maintaining social services like social security and education, the trillion dollars on national healthcare, along with a few trillion dollars overseas and not go broke! We have to live within our means.

Oh by the way, if japan and china are involved in a war, because we decided to swat North Korea... I doubt they will continue to give us the loans that we so desperately need to fund more "fly swatting".

Does anyone understand this?

Our country also does not represent simple arithmetic.

They're both like annoying things that linger around and don't go away. LOL

In the case of Iran, there is no sure thing that the guy who "lost" will be any better for us than Alminjad- or whatever his name is. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. We learned that the hard way the last time Iran had a revolution.
Obama is doing the right thing by keeping out of it and letting it run its course.
1956 to be exact. I was in northeastern Italy with the Army very near Udine, Italy. When the Russians put that rebellion down we were tasked with finding each of the tanks they surrounded Hungary with. They had more tanks around and in Hungary than NATO had in all of western Europe. It was very obvious to us that only our superiority of missile numbers kept them from just overrunning the rest of Europe.

Those were scary days for the Hungarians and it was caused by exactly what you said. We did the same thing with the Iraqis in the earlier days and Saddam took care of them.

Obama is doing what he has to do and finally I agree with something he has done. That doesn't happen often.
