Of course it is true...in network gives you a choice between many physicians and even out of State. If you have a government running this, you have to go to one closest to you and if you don't like the physician you might have one more choice but that is it, but that isn't the worst thing.

The worst thing is that a physician gets paid per person per yearand just a few bucks per visit. Not per visit the full amount. So if you are sick, many times a year a doctor can get sick of you since he won't make much more money than if you would have visited once....and guess what...the 18 year old might be much more attractive to help out than the old body they have to look at over and over. That is why many Europeans hear over and over...."it is your age, you have to life with it"...just to get rid of them!

That is not how Medicare works.

Please provide some sort of documentation supporting your claims!

Here is a synopsis of healthcare in many different countries.

Bottom line is:

*ALL countries (developed world; perhaps we no longer fit that designation) which have socialized (e.g., "government run") health care are more satisfied with their systems that are we with ours.

* Right now, what stands between you and your health care provider (assuming you have one- another private-sector failure) is one or more insurance industry scumbags, whose mission it is to deny your claim, and thus save their company money.

Remember the testimony from the insurance co (former) exec that stated there were weekly meetings at company hq between teams who reviewed the policies of current policy holders, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer or other chronic diseases?

The objective of those meetings was (and is) to figure out ways to cancel these policy holders (some who had the insurance for 2 decades or more), due to any "prior conditions.".

The example hat comes to mind was the woman in California (always it's California) who was cancelled because the company said she had not disclosed, "Chronic back pain."

Reality was the woman had visited her doctor a SINGLE time for a muscle torn while playing softball back in the 80's. She was still cancelled because, hey, the team which saved the most $ for the investors was rewarded with an island vacation.

Armed with this over-powering stench, the industry and big pharma have fallen back on the only two strategies that it has left; the only two that will work:

A. Buy a congressman/senator.
Dems and Goppistas are both in the industries pockets.

Max Baucus? He's a prime example of this.

B. Have the corporate media slant/undercover this story, which is THE story.

Remember, this is where Akre V Fox News (2003, Fla District Court ruling that says media can lie in its news reports for financial reasons) is so helpful to all corporations. After all, if you spew enough propaganda, them maybe some of the 75% of Americans who want a government option, might change their minds.

At least, that's the industry's hope. Along with the congressional turd-lickers it either owns or rents.

Remember: June 25, 2009.

Jam those congressional phone lines!

So nice to see someone who actually has something to say that is factual and Not the "Some one told me" angle.

@geeoro

The elitists have you brain-washed, don't they. If the government is going to run health care, what's next? You assume that ALL governments in the West are benevolent, that they are incapable of abusing or deceiving the people. All of your talk about UHC has me wondering who you work for? I have heard of shills for corporations, what about shills for the government?
