So much for the liberal phenomenon in the blue states and the marxist president. Maybe Governor Perry was right. Maybe it's time to get the hell out of the liberal, loser, union.

Must really vacuum to live somewhere other than Texas. After all, six of the fifteen cities mentioned are in TEXAS.

Most people like you are just jealous.

It's OK,....not everyone can be a native Texan.

And, of course, Texas is one of the most polluted states in the nation. Houston and Dallas are in the top ten most polluted cities.

Sure, you can have the best economy if you are slowly destroying the environment: no zoning laws (as is the case in Houston) and letting corporations run amuck. But it will last for only so long. Good luck with that.

P.S. I'm a native Texan.

Trust me. Texas would be one of the last places I'd want to live.

Yes, the economy in Texas is good, but I prefer to live in a less religious, less conservative, less moralistic environment.

Texas is also last in the percentage of adults who have graduated from high school. The economy may be good in Texas, but there's a lot that's not so good.

High school diploma or higher, by percentage (most recent) by state

True, but what has all of that education done for California?

I mean, you can graduate high school and still not know what money is, least of all, know how to manage it if you did.

I wasn't saying that it was great in California. In fact, I acknowledge that the high school graduation rate is almost as bad in California as it is in Texas. I was just saying that not all is perfect in Texas, as some would like us to believe.

Crime rates are also higher in Texas than in most states.

http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/tables/09s0297.pdf (broken link)

In 2006, the crime rates in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Delaware, DC, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Tennessee were all higher than the crime rate in Texas.
