Bahney Fwank is such a little weasle. We need to relax more rules in the mortgage industry, alright. Fwank and his buddies helped create the mortgage debacle when they refused to put more regs in place in 2007. And now he is at it again.
Damn, I feel so much better knowing Fwank is keeping an eye on Fweddie and Fannie.
there's nothing wrong with government intervention in backing loans for low income families to buy a house...
the problem is oversight... if it's not properly governed, with strict rules enforced, it allows for the MORTGAGE COMPANIES to exploit the market to create a bubble...

Right. And wasn't that Barney Frank's responsibility and we see how well he did with that. Oh, I forgot....It's Bush's fault!!

of course not.. but barney frank was only overseeing it all since 2006... the problem started long before him....I think barney frank is being used as the fall guy by republicans.. when there is plenty of blame to go around... as a whole though.. the deregulation promoted by republicans is what allowed for it to happen in the first place back in 2003-4 when it all started

low income families shouldn't be able to buy a house. they should be lifetime renters.
