I completely agree

I can't blame you guys because I don't know who said what before.
But I blame the media, especially Foxnews and talk radio for attacking somebody for doing XYZ and then when a republican does it then they either ignore it or try to find an excuse for it.

Here's an example that the Daily Show pointed out,
Foxnews shows this in the morning a few days after complaining about the whole thing about Bruno landing his a... on Eminem.

You don't know much about our state constitution then ... he cannot run again ... South Carolina allows a Governor to run and serve two consecutive four year terms. He has a little over one year left in his second term and that's the end. That's the problem with our country, we need informed voters. Not being mean here ... I voted for the man both times and that's it ... he can't run for re-election as you indicate.

He asked for forgiveness as though he was not aware of all the damage he would bring upon everyone if he was found out. He disrespected his office, his staff and most importantly his family. He is a public figure and was more interested in his lust and could not care less for anyone but himself. He marketed himself as a family values Christian when all he was, was a liar of low character. He needs to go.

I have no respect for public figure that would expose their spouse and children to a controversy like this.

Not because he had an affair and ruined his personal life
he should resign because he left the state with no one in charge if something was needed.

It has nothing to do with the affair.

Sanford abandoned his post. He cannot be trusted.

I really envy these guys. Talk about living in a girl rich environment. I need to think about retiring into politics.

Apparently infidelity is still a crime in SC, punishable by up to a year in jail. Perhaps the local Sheriff will investigate this like Michael Phelps was investigated when he was photographed with a bong in SC (not a crime).

This is the crux of why I think he should resign. When you stop thinking with your brain to the point you do what he did that brings up a serious question of your priorities, stability and trustworthiness. He did not just have an affair.

Beyond that, on a less serious note, he should resign by the very words he used during the Clinton debacle when he was one of those calling for his resignation.
