I don't think when he was there they would have been calling Barry Akamai, I think he would have been called Popolo. As a matter of fact, I am 100% sure on that one.

Flying in Halau's, shipping in palm trees, building tiki huts.... isn't a bit over the top considering our financial situation? I would think it is.

AND BTW I have never been to a luau where they are serving rack of lamb, chicken hogies,Tiramisu and Saki.

It's a freaking luau, how much could it possibly cost? Besides dubya didn't do anything to cancel it last year and the economy sucked.

Jsq, he was akamai enough for punahou. kahelani halau is based on the east coast and tiki huts and palm trees can be picked up at the local party rents place. it should be a fun night
