I have n respect for composite or cooked (pun intended) figures.

"IPCC reports contain a "Summary for Policymakers", which is subject to line-by-line approval by delegates from all participating governments. Typically this involves the governments of more than 120 countries."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interg...Climate_Change

The governments from more than 120 countries monitor/control IPCC reports, what better source is there than one monitored by over 120 different governments??

When the government officials have a universal policy of "go along to get along" and there's a powerful drive to consensus it's a horrible source. Why can't anyone break out any local sample of warming and demonstrate actual temperature increase rather than showing a composite of hundreds or thousands of stations, most unmanned and say we have to take their word for it? And why do the policy makers allow different countries to use different base years from which to calculate reductions? Why is China allowed to grow its emissions until 2030 or some year after that?

If we were really all going to fry, drown, take your pick the imperative would override parochial interests.

Who is.... Maurice Strong??

He is the father of the global warming scam, to make him and his buddies richer than they already are.

According to this republican source the US government spent $22.2 billion dollars on global warming in 2013.

Global warming gets twice as much money as border security | The Daily Caller

Over 120 countries take part in creating IPCC reports and each of those countries has a financial incentive to discredit global warming (because its expensive to take measures to combat global warming.) But none of the over 120 countries discredit global warming because the scientists say its real.

The consensus on climate change is not opinion...It is a fact that of 97% of peer reviewed papers written by climate scientists on the subject illustrate that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver of global warming.

At least one person on here has common sense. I'm going to rep this post when I'm finished with my post.

Governments embrace spending, especially where it makes them look and feel virtuous. Politicians love to look in the mirror and admire what they see. When it comes to border security they may talk a good game but very few government officials in this day and age don't really want to turn back refugees that appear desperate. While many citizens would like this done, this would not please the politically correct chattering classes.

This has more the appearance of religion rather than science. Most of these scientific papers are written in precatory language such is "if CO2 causes warming", then certain things "may" happen.

Indeed, can anyone show actual temperature records of any one place showing consistent, alarming warming? All of the temperature figures bandied about are "global" or ""world" figures. Surely some statistics within those must show alarming spikes in temperature if we are boiling or drowning to death.

oohhh, that peer reviewed crap again. spend enough money and have a paper that agrees with what the peer review committee decides, and you too can get a "peer reviewed" paper published. its a scam.

Climate change? There's no evidence for it, it's a Chinese hoax! I mean, look at what's happening

- Over a dozen severe flooding events in Texas-Okla-LA area in the last 2 years
- Sea level rise, now at 6 inches, directly threatens US navy base in VA
- Severe drought in the west has Lake Mead nearly empty, threatening Las Vegas
- Glaciers disappearing
- Permafrost melting in Alaska, causing buildings to collapse
- Coral reefs dying, ocean becoming too hot and too acid
- Ten hottest years on record in the last 12 years

There's more but I won't bother to list it. All this stuff going on simultaneously. Nah, there's no climate change, it's all just random events. [cough, cough]
