Strassel: The Climate Change Climate Change - WSJ.com

Quote:
The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. -- 13 times the number who authored the U.N.'s 2007 climate summary for policymakers.

The collapse of the "consensus" has been driven by reality. The inconvenient truth is that the earth's temperatures have flat-lined since 2001, despite growing concentrations of C02. Peer-reviewed research has debunked doomsday scenarios about the polar ice caps, hurricanes, malaria, extinctions, rising oceans.
Will Happer Congressional Testimony: "Earth in 'CO2 Famine'" | SOLO - Sense of Life Objectivists

Quote:
Washington, DC — Award-winning Princeton University Physicist Dr. Will Happer declared man-made global warming fears “mistaken” and noted that the Earth was currently in a “CO2 famine now.” Happer, who has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers, made his remarks during today’s Environment and Public Works Full Committee Hearing entitled “Update on the Latest Global Warming Science.”
None of the dooms day scenarios from the GW fanatics have come to pass - yet people still give credibility to what they claim will happen in the future.

Insane.

With the annual summer heat wave in full swing, I'm sure Gore is dusting of his projector and sending his traveling shoes out for a shine.

A little over 5 years later, and not much is different.

In one of the myriad multiverses there is an Earth where man had never evolved into Homo Industrial is and the globe in that reality is in an ice age. That is not our reality and we have burned enough coal and oil to change the climate on this planet. In this reality we are living on a planet with a rapidly warming climate. Even if I won't be here I expect that we will be growing oranges in New England in a couple of hundred years.

Here's that 700 scientist thingy.

Where they claim acidification isn't a thing because it can't be a thing because rocks and the ocean will absorb the acid and make everything OKEY DOKEY.
Oysters dying as coast is hit hard | Sea Change: Ocean acidification | The Seattle Times

Oysters now haven't reproduced on their own in Willapa Bay since 2005, so every grower now relies on hatchery-produced larvae. Once the oysters make it to that stage they can survive acidic conditions just fine.
