I'm not sure what kind of "respect" you're talking about. The U.S. is the U.S. That won't change no matter who is president.

Someday, it'll probably happen, and life will go on, and the anti-gays will see that they were wrong, just as the anti-Catholics were wrong about Kennedy, and the anti-blacks were wrong about Obama.

I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on that. I think it might be entertaining.
I was just referring to another of the anti-gay Repubs who ended up being great at 'footsie'.

Ah, okay. I feel better.

And now that we've cleared that up, I'd like to nominate Bruno for President of the U.S. in 2016. If we broke barriers with Obama, just think of what Bruno could do for this country!

As long as they don't put Perez Hilton on their Cabinet, that would be fine with me.

P.S. I think you've been a secret admirer of Richard Simmons ever since you rented that Sweatin' To The Oldies video.

LOL! Richard Simmons cracks me up. Everytime I see him on T.V., in those little shorts and tank top, I just about fall over laughing. He truly is funny.

Oh my god! (Not literally, of course.) That was amazingly funny!

This is why movies like Bruno are produced. We're in this very interesting period where gay sexuality can be used for humor, and people find it hysterical! Twenty years ago, that video clip you shared never would have been possible to show on TV. And eventually, this type of humor will probably run its course. But it's hilarious right now in 2009 - for sure!

Thanks for sharing that.

This is a great clip from Mad TV along those same lines:

Why would you want to vote for anyone when you "can have the milk for free"?

My definition of respect would come from others that she/he wants co-operation from. An effeminate man will not be taken seriously from other males as opposed to a mascueline woman who may be slightly more aggressive.
