AM I the only one???????
You are most certainly not the only one. 60 million people voted against this fraud and many more are coming to realize they made a mistake in voting for him.

The only option right now is to get back control of congress in 2010, which should be doable, especially if obama and the dems/libs continue on this path toward massive tax hikes and out of control spending.

I mean it's just my opinion but I think we live so high off the hog in this country and so many things we consider essential are such luxuries that we've become accustom to living these wonderful lifestyles that our compensation expectations are very high compared with most of the world. If 80% of countries can do most of the same things for a fraction of the cost how can we compete? As the labor pool increases the compensation level usually decreases, this is what we've been seeing as our economy gets more global. I think if anything this trend will continue to increase.

I think our best days are behind us and the economic power is shifting east and we can't do a thing about it. All empires end and we're in that transition now and nobody can stop it.

It makes no sense for them to make things here, when they can do it in Asia for a fraction of the cost....WITH SHIPPING!!

And stevemorse, You're going to have to get accustomed to lower paying jobs and living a simpler life. Because this is the greatest "correction" in the history of our economy....our FAKE economy. We created a fantasy land through deregulation of Wall Street, greed, and consumer debt. It's over, done, finished. It's time to pay the piper
well I did not over spend !!!!!! I own my house outright and have no credit cards or debit except a small vacation home with is 70 percent paid for and rented. So IM not paying the piper but I am worried about americans! Thanks I will just save more money. This is never going to be me. I did not go beyond my means. Thanks thought good advise.

I am sure if McCain had been elected, we would be living in prosperity today Like someone said, this recession is harsh but necessary, we have been living in a BS society for way too long. I think we will learn to go back to the basics and appreciate the things that really matter in life. Overall, it is a society so void of values, spirituality and morals, everything is about materialism and people are killing themselves by working 3 jobs just to keep up with this insanity. I think a lot of good things will come out this!

Most people in this country need a big piece of humble pie I agree.

This is not a right/left issue. The damage was done by both parties years ago. You may need to take ECON 101. It's going to take time. I'll judge the state of our economy in two years and make my decision from there. Heck, I've voted for Republicans before and I would do it again. Not any of current contenders (jokers) the GOP is offering. But maybe a 3rd party. Who knows? I'll decide later.

Being that your hatred of the president and liberals blinds you, I'm sure this went in one ear and out the other.

I'm not scared so much of the economy crashing and sending us into a depression as I am of what I perceive is a power grab in Washington with communist/socialist/facist undertones. That worries me more than any economic crisis.

look I can be open minded , I guess I come off strong however I should have not made this a right /left issue. I can see both sides at times. However I just am scared , I dont like the way things are going. I feel worried for people and the future of all Americans. Maybe I am thinking too much, maybe its alot of people's fault not just Obama, I dont know. Maybe I should take Economics 101 like someone said, then I can undestand alittle better. Sorry if I offended people.
