Real facts? You gotta be kidding me, some Americans are so bombarded with propaganda from the right spin on the news they wouldn't believe the truth if it hit them in the face....
Its funny for some people if information comes from the right it is spin and propaganda. If it is from the left it is gospel. Some truly closed minds afraid to keep an open mind lest they God forbid change an opinion. For some changing an opinion is a personal failing. So sad.

So if the Right is "right" (or correct), then why did they (via Fox News, in Akre v Fox News) argue (sucessfully at the appelate level) that they have the right to distort the news to fit their financial goals?
Note, they did NOT say they were NOT lying, they only said that they had the right to lie in their newscasts.
Stoessel is bankrolled by the Cato Institute; a bunch of wackos who still argue against cigarettes causing cancer, and other absurdities.
ABC is owned by Disney, and like ALL American media is biased towards big business (see: Akre V Fox News). If they pulled the report, it's less to do with trying to restore credibility, and more to do with the fact that it must be really low hanging fruit; too easy to point out corporate bias.
For those of you who don't know CATO is a well respected often cited mainstream libertarian group. This is a favorite tactic of the left isolate, and attempt to marginalize anyone or group that challenges their dogma. You see this tactic frequently on this site. This is a good example of the phenomenon.

Again folks notice how some see the truth as a zero sum game. the reality is sometimes the facts support the left sometimes they support the right. But for some as in this posters mind it all has to be one way and the other side must be demonized nad destroyed. Fascinating.

It is not respected. It is used by the corporate media to lie to the American people, and thus try to attain the aura of respectibility.
However, when one understands that Cato still denies the link between smoking and cancer, AND, not coincidently, receives much financial support from Big Tobacco, then that aura turns into a stench.

So, you deny the argument of Fox (and ALL other domestic media outlets) in the case of Akre V Fox News?
"A dozen years later, right-wing think tanks with consequential names like the American Enterprise Institute, the Cato Institute, and the Heartland Institute still run these sophisticated PR campaigns, using a practice now known as astroturfing. The whole point of their tactics are to run interference, and convince enough people that climate scientists are still debating the science of global warming, just as they did 15 years ago with secondhand smoke."
"In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOXNews that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States."

Again folks classic example of an attempt to deflect. Notice the poster continues in discredited vein. The poster simply refuses to acknowledge that the truth is not the sole property of an ideology. Rather than acknowledge that or worse to deny it, they try to obfuscate. You are lucky we are seeing text book cases tonight.

...and you call people at CATO wackos...
