Cable News Ratings: Fox News Continues Record Growth - 2009-06-30 17:09:25 EDT | Broadcasting & Cable

Quote:
Fox News Channel finished the second quarter ratings period as the No. 3 ranked basic cable network in primetime behind USA and TNT. The network is having its best year among total viewers since 2003, when the war in Iraq began.

The network posted a 35% gain in total viewers and 54% in the news networks' target demographic of 25-54-year-olds compared to primetime (Monday through Friday) for the second quarter 2008.

Fox News also swept the cable news top-ten in total viewers led by The O'Reilly Factor, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and On the Record.
Impressive.

Fox News is a joke.

Beck and Hannity are just insane and total fearmongers. The other hosts aren't much better, and the morning and daytime coverage is slanted towards the right as well.

MSNBC > CNN > Fox > HLN

Actually, MSNBC's ratings are the real joke. They are so far left and full of crap that even a slanted, biased network like Fox smokes them in the ratings.

You are confusing higher viewership numbers with quality. Faux News is a train wreck. Even I watch it sometimes for that reason.

LOL, MSNBC? Your kidding, right? That network leans so far to the left. With a name like Nintendo, it does not surprise me you'd watch that crap.
This coming from a liberal democrat out of high school who grew up once I had a child and learned the evil of liberalism; mainly they want government to control everything.

Sorry ... but the Libs don't need to watch political news at this time.

We already have everything we want now.

Try winning a few elections, and then maybe you Republicans might be able to sit back and relax like we libs can do now!

It is hard to win elections with ACORN rigging them. Try having a fair election and we'll kick your liberal can back to the hole from which it came.

For the GOP, not so much... Would be willing to bet I could find a recent poll that would indicate what the general public really thinks of the GOP...
