It really makes you wonder what the hell the rush was, when they spend it so slowly, all it does is prolong the "crisis". Its because the bill was never intended to stimulate anything, but the government coffers, buy votes, and pacify the ignorant masses.

BTW, who are the two people who voted for "no, it's not a bust, it's working"?? They have not backed up their vote with words.

Liberal, Democrat, Republican, Conservative..etc it can go on and on.

Rather than saying "I was right and you were wrong" take a look at the economy and comment on that.

The stimulus appears to not be working. Could be money is tied up in the ever growing government process.

The cracks are getting bigger though. How much longer can we hold on ?
How much longer can people "wait for it to take hold" ?

People should be worried and rightly so. The predictions of bottom don't seem to be holding as data points the other way.

They had their basis for defending it, just like you have yours for defending your positions.

Maybe what they defended is not working but if more folks stopped with the ridcule then maybe we can have intelligent debate here in this forum.

The mud slinging won't change reality.

It would have been better to give ever citizen, man, woman and child two million dollars. Then families could have paid off their homes and bought new cars...

And it would have saved us all money in the long run..

Obama doesn't want to give people their money. He wants as much as possible tied up in (gov) spending.

Obama quote:
What do you think a stimulus is? It's spending - that's the whole point! Seriously.

Too early to really tell. But it doesn't look like we're getting the classic Keynesian multiplier yet, if at all.

The bureaucracy and red tape are making it not happen as quickly as most would like but in some areas, there are a few projects, that have started, or the money has set up for.

I would hope that the money is being used, on something, that is well planned and not just being thrown around, just to get it out there.

Here in michigan we know our federal dollars for highways in the past, are well wasted, since our highways rarely last for more then a few years before having to be redone. Hopefully any "buliding" that is done with the dollars, is better thought out then our roads.

(note - i didn't vote in the poll. there is not enough time passed, or facts known for either conclusion. You might as well asked who is going to win the next Superbowl.)

It almost seems like this was the 0bama plan all along doesn't it? Let unemployment climb, create another crisis, so people are desperate to reclaim their health care, so 0bama and the dems will have a pliable citizenry acquiescing to 0bama health care. I know it sounds a bit conspiratorial, but his weak and ineffectual Recovery Act/Stimulus is sure to have that effect.
