Despite how any Republican might feel about JFK, FDR, or LBJ, it is hard to imagine one being so petty.
For all of you who don't want to read the story, some Congressional Democrats are talking about renaming Ronald Reagan airport in DC. It's not like choosing NOT to name an airport after him, but they are basically saying, "your legacy is so screwed up, we owe you no respect as a President." It is unbelievable how low the Democrats are willing to go, it makes me sick. Ronald Reagan was a truly great President, and while some disagree with his policies even today, he is owed some respect, especially in death.
I would never ever support renaming JFK airport because I might have disagreed with his policies.
It is truly pathetic what the Dems are trying to do... I hope we hear more about this, because some names need to be named.
Elections have consequences. Your side really screwed the pooch and DC is a Democratic blue area.
Go name an airport in Utah or Oklahoma.... Reagan Airport. Wise Americans don't need to put up with your right wing dogma that says Reagan was a good President.
And BTW JFK Airport is in a Democratic blue area as well. They have the George Bush Turnpike in Dallas...isnt' this good enough for you?
Exactly.
OP-You are an epic fail and a big hypocrite! You really are a true Republican.
Reagan was the greatest President of the twentieth century and I continued to call the DC airport 'National'. Actually they should shut it down. It's a dangerous airport and all the modernization in the world won't help. The only reason it remains open is for the convenience of the Members of Congress. Of course this is all my opinion.

Reagan was one of the worst Presidents of the twentieth century and he was so bad that today we are getting screwed by his mess.
Doesn't congress have anything better to do with their time?
Petty is the perfect word to describe this.
Leave it alone and stop trying to distract the American people from what is happening to this country.
How anyone can say Ronald Reagan was one of the worst Presidents is beyond me. He did amazing things for this country. Read about history and learn something.

These folks were happy with double digit unemployment, inflation and interest rates or they just don't have a clue what they're saying.

Lol, how old are you? The "permanent Republican majority" (remember them?) pasted his name onto National Airport in 1998.
As for petty -- they were so petty and cheap they were grandstanding around about replacing FDR on the dime with a grinning head of dim, dyed St. Ron -- freedom-fryin' idiots.
Had there never been a Reagan there would have never been a net of 20 million new jobs.... You'd be begging for anything but democratic control. Walter Mondale never had a chance as neither did Carter. Let history be history and quit trying to spread your revisionism.
Air Traffic Controllers, numerous government RIFs (Reduction in Force).
Talk about revisionism.
How about "Marion Barry Airport"? He was a noteworthy DC citizen.
