Regardless of what is to come, if she doesn't end up in prison, Palin has a great future as a speaker for the extreme right. I predict she will make a 6 figure yearly salary talking about what she has done with her life (the lies carefully concealed with a smattering of the truth), abstinence, 'real Americans', and hate for everything else.
If they had won, she wouldn't be quitting. I think you have missed the point. You're not "getting it". Did you listen to her speech? Don't think so. She isn't "going away". That isn't her nature. This woman is a fireball, and a fighter, and we have not heard the last from her.
Lol. Either she cut and run as she said she was doing, or she fully intends to come back when she feels better, and thus was lying with each one of the weird excuses she gave for stepping down. Neither of these is the mark of a fighter. A fireball, okay. Kaboom, fizz.
If I were a republican I'd be elated that Palin quit and would be praying feverishly that she left the scene altogether......Anyone with common sense can see she is damaging the GOP beyond repair....although I would love to see her in 2012 and so would damn near all Dem's.
If I were a Democrat I would be glad if Palin quits. She spells the death of Barack Obama's second term as president.

Listen to her resignation speech -- it is crystal clear -- she is apalled by what is happening to our country under the current administration. She feels time is of the essence. Life is short. She doesn't want to waste the last months of her governorship as a lame-duck. Instead, she is going to give it her all to help elect candidates that will overturn the liberal agenda and fight for our country. This is a no-brainer. She is not a wuus. She's no coward, and she's deeply concerned about what has happened to our country: a recession with no end in site, Deep deficits, real threats of hyperinflation, no action on the major crackdown in Iran, support for Chavez, Castro and a budding left-wing dictator in Honduras, no action on the crazies in Korea, the nationalization of banks, our auto industry, no action on abortion, etc., etc.
How is citing a fact being bitter? I don't even work in broadcasting!
You can't deny he came out of the woodwork and got where he is from connections...he isn't better than other local reporters.
