+1 Hey skyegirl, at least you are a THINKING crazy liberal who obviously seperated the details of this incident and thought rationally instead of having the knee-jerk anti-gun reactions some of your compadres are having! I respect that, and your post.

We don't put restrictions on, or track these folks, (well, not counting that silly over-the-counter thing for cold medicine Which I also think is goofy).
So then your answer is, everyone should have one. yea that will stop the violence.

Nea...Not talking about you specifically...I was generalizing about ultra-liberal anti-gun folks, both in the media and on boards. And kudos to you for thinking like a survivor (other post)...I know guns aren't the only solution, but they are one solution, and I would rather not be outgunned by the crazies.

Comparing something like a knife or a club to a gun is not really applicable. You can't easily kill 30 people in a few minutes with a knife or club.
how about a bomb? its pretty easy to make a bomb, is VT a bomb free zone?

Please don't put words in my mouth. I did not say that everyone should have a gun. I was trying to make a point, apparently without success. My point was, how do we know who is criminally insane and who is not? And do we advocate regulating everything that people do, or might do, based on the possibility that they are might be crazy, and will misuse something, anything, so that they might hurt or kill other people?

Good post Silas, I'm thinking info (instructions) posted on websites on bomb making is more serious than trying to put restrictions on gun owners. This onfo is available to anyone.... even children.

That information must be kept public if we want to be free of tyranny, right?
