This year China's GDP is expected to grow by 8% or more. Part of the reason being because of tax cuts and money being given to people and businesses. Along the lines of what the Republicans wanted to do.

So it worked in China but it wouldn't work in the U.S.? Can someone tell me why it can't work in the U.S.?
I'm trying to understand.

Because that is not the democrat way. They must have control over the purse strings. They know how to spend your money so much better than you do.

Is this not the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard?

Why don't they just get the friggin money out - like how a real stimulus is supposed to work.

And why should we believe a word they say? They have been caught in the lie - and now they want to disown their culpability.

The madness of an illogical mind:

See now, if you would have just cut taxes, issued refunds checks and stopped the dificit spending, things would be much better now. The extra money in the people's pockets would have been spent. Instead, you put the loot in the governments hands, where the slow, lumbering monstrosity fiddles while Rome burns.

How Much of This Hope and Change Disaster Can Americans Take?
This just proves beyond a doubt that the only Hope for America is a Change of Bozos in DC. Anyone that can seriously say this is a good idea should be seriously considered for involuntary commitment.

Putting people to work on these projects would help stimulate the economy by increased construction help, engineers, equipment purchases, etc. It would also stimulate the local diners, luncheons, retail stores etc.

Where are the jobs? So far it appears that only the bureaucrats that are in charge of metering out the stimulus dollars are being hired. It's not like there weren't enough people already in similar positions to handle the paperwork.

None of our money actually went to "people and business". By business I mean small/medium business, not these multi-nationals that were tripping all over themselves kissing up to Obama with their hands out.
Corporate and Bank interests and a host of new government committees to oversee this money and toss in pork..lots and lots of pork.

One local goverment used their stimulus money to hire a guy to get more stimulus money !!
