May I suggest instead of delving into College Football's Bowl Championship Series, our elected leaders use the time to read the assinine legislation they've been passing. The only thing that's good about this is that while they are trying to control college football (maybe the President will name a college football czar), they'll stop trying to control us.
Your conclusion is confusing, but I guess par for the course. Are you claiming a dichotomy of "college football" vs. "us?"
Did you approve of the Freedom Fries resolution? I mean, how controlling is that? Telling the private sector what to call its products? Sounds commie to me.

According to the article, Senator Hatch (R-Utah) was one of the only senators who stayed for the entire hearing. As such, it seems that most senators share your view that the BCS 'issue' is less important than other current congressional pursuits. So...what's your issue with this? Are you annoyed that a hearing was held, but that senators, in general, didn't give it much credence? Are you angry that Obama had the audacity to give his (very) brief opinion?

I'm annoyed that anyone in Washington thinks it's their business just like I thought they needed to butt out of Major League Baseball business in the past. It's not a partisan observation/comment. And that Obama weighed in on it is even more nuts.

Did you read the last sentence of this article? Can it get any worse in DC?
What Obama wants Obama gets. Pretty silly considering what is going on in our world today but hey the people voted for him.
