Nevertheless - the main issues still remain.....
1. We are not asking China or India to do the things we are asking Americans to do. We are not asking them to harm their economy but we are asking it of America.
2. Is man-made global warming from CO2 even occurring?
[quote=vec101;9656577]In a Senate Hearing yesterday, EPA top dog Jackson said Cap & Trade will have little/no impact on world CO2 levels, that it is really all about entering the world clean energy race.
What??? They have been scaring us to death with all kinds of propoganda about CO2 and man-made global warming.
Instead of trying to scare us to death, they should have been honest with We The People. I don't think anyone is against doing things better, cleaner and more efficient energy technology, etc. Sell us on the race to be an energy world leader - America is a competitive nation - we like to be #1. But don't try to bamboozle us.
Most environmentalists know that cap-and-trade is too little too late. Nobody's trying to "scare" you. The CO2 levels are dangerous, and getting more so. The sad fact is that industry trumps the planet. Cap-and-trade is a compromise--and a deadly one--in a capitulation to oil and coal interests.
It's really just that simple.
Inhofe is a liar. He knows next to nothing about climate science, is in the pockets of the industries who have hamstrung any real climate change bill (the kind that will make a difference), and is--in fact--the one who "scares" people, making them paranoid and turning them against their government. If you should be afraid of anybody, it's Inhofe. The man is repulsive, primarily because he lacks any integrity whatsoever.
Well, once the world see that our economy and quality of life suffer as badly under a government mandate to "Go green" as Spain's attempt, then no one will go green.
You don't get suspicious when that first video cuts off at " but", lol?
Here, I'll see if I can locate the full thing for you.
Also, the scientist that Inhofe is may not realize that we're likely to continue heating up.
A drop of anything would be good news, despite his inability to grasp that.
(he complains of a very slight drop in 50 years)
By the way scientists, apparently .07 degrees is immeasurable.
