Every video I have seen with Celente in it, he says that. C'mon Bronx boy, say something new already.

The dimwitted need repetition, repeatedly.

I don't doubt that all of this could happen because it's already been happening for a long time. Since way back before anyone even heard the name Obama. It's just that now it's happening to people who thought they were immune.

Celente gave his solution, "get government out of the economy". Apparently that is not a solution the left wants to consider.

The federal government bailed out Chrysler and GM to "keep them solvent", and each took bankruptcy anyway. Are we, as AMERICANS, better off having poured in BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars into bankrupt companies rather than letting them seek bankruptcy on their own? Are Chrysler and GM better companies now that the unions and the federal government are major shareholders, and the original shareholders are left with little or nothing? I don't think so.

Celente is correct, this is economic fascism which has taken over our economy. Why is a government dominated economy better than one dominated by corrupt CEOs? Both have their own power agendas, and the taxpayer is footing the bill in both cases. For taxpayers it is a LOSE/LOSE situation.

The government DEMANDED a $787 BILLION dollar stimulus, rammed it through both houses without debate or even reading the bill, and filled it with pet projects and earmarks. Has the economy gotten better BECAUSE of it?

Sometimes doing nothing is better than rush to a mistake.

Yeah, how about those predictions?

Unfortunately some people want to make this another "Obama did it" issue which on it's face is untrue.

The situation we are faced with is the result of deregulation, corporate greed, off shoring of jobs, anti-unionism, the systematic destruction of the middle class, and people who chant the "personal responsibilty" mantra taken to the extreme.

I think that both parties had a hand in this situation so it it utterly stupid to keep pointing fingers as we sink into economic chaos.
You forgot two more reasons
Unions and greedy middle class.

If you are doing nothing but whining about lossing the election, or whining about how tough things are or might get, then you are nothing more than part of the problem. If, on the otherhand, you have any rational ideas on how to deal with any of the major issues facing us, by all means be part of the solution, pass it on to others so that they can get it considered or do it yourself. One is either part of the problem or part of the solution, predicting doom and gloom makes one part of the first.

conservatives were against the bailouts before ANY of them happened! conservatives have pointed out time and again the cost of illegal immigration to american citizens, but has one liberal addressed this subject? has one liberal addressed the cost of illegal immigration to our healthcare system and how "a pathway to citizenship" is going to cost americans plenty? haven't there been plenty of posts on the financial implications of cap and trade and the damage it can do to our country? has one liberal addressed the problems that california is having or are they just sidestepping around it while conservatives comment on the state?

i see plenty of conservatives with solutions, but not one liberal is listening!

I hope it doesn't come to this, but I am preparing just in case(in case of any emergency, really, we have earthquakes here!) So, while the "it'll never happen" crowd is standing in line, waiting for bread, I plan on eating fish and venison!

I sure hope his theory is never proven to be true. But I can see empty malls appearing as I have one in my city already. But it is not because people are broke it's because that mall sucked big time.

thefinalsay - I do pay attention to FACTS. I do not pay attention to a bunch of right wing whining spoiled children. The economy is right in line with what I expect, including looting the TARP funds by bank and other financial executives, as well as increasing unemployment through the remainder of 2009 with a sharp recovery in the spring and summer of 2010.

In the meantime, you must understand that there are millions and millions of voters out there in "fly over" country who simply DO NOT LIKE and DO NOT TRUST this administration, and it's only a matter of time before the tide(and history) turns against you.

Hopenchange, how's that workin' out for ya?
Let's see, Obama won the election, by a pretty decent margin.
You understand that there are millions and millions of voters out there who voted for Obama.

The Dems won, sounds more like sour grapes than anything.
