Yep, but history has glossed over the raping of the Constitution and made the end justify the means. It's not paying taxes that people are mad about either. Nobody likes paying taxes, but we realize we need to. It's the spending of that tax money on 'programs' with no merit, the blatant waste and misuse of tax dollars by the Washington elite and having them turn around and demand even more. Truthfully, how many soldiers could have been trained and outfitted on what has been spent on parties at the White House lately? That is just one small example. Looking closely at how our government operates fiscally, it begs the question as to where the money they spend on themselves could be better used. The old 'let them eat cake' analogy, once again, is appropriate.

From an OP who recently tried to take advantage of the mortgage bailout paid for with tax dollars.

How Ironic!

Of course I should take advantage of EVERYTHING I can,I (partly) paid for it all.

I hope to do my small part in breaking the system by sucking every last dollar I can from it.

You can just sit and pontificate if you want,it is safer.

If you're against taxes for bailouts, don't speak out against them, then take them for yourself.

Again, the money is being spent no matter what.

Taking and doing my little part to make it all collapse is the least I can do.

Keep up the pontificating, someone has to and you do it well.

Psst, those guys back in 1777 WERE paying taxes....but stopped when it became too much.

You try first to work with the system.

Keep up the good work.
