While I feel hemp should be legalized, I have to wonder exactly how Obama could do it. He was elected as POTUS, not God. Legalizing hemp is a job for congress and the courts, not Presidents.

Hey, he can just appoint a "hemp czar", voila! Bypass those knuckleheads in Congress, who do they think they are to block all powers from The One?!

In case you didn't read the article...

The herb feverfew can do that. No need to take a mind-altering drug.

He should just do a signing statement like Bush used to do.

Screw congress!

Especially where the activity is already lawful and protected under the Constitution, like for instance, growing, smoking or selling pot.

"Certainly all those who have framed written constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and consequently, the theory of every such government must be, that an act of the legislature, repugnant to the constitution, is void."

That's the job of the legislative branch.
Why didn't anyone tell Bush?

What is it about the word, "Decider" you don't understand?

I would say that chielgirl wants to abide by the Constitution and you think that since it is nearly dead, anyway, we should just avoid it at every turn. I have to agree with her about passing laws because of what the Constitution says.
