are you saying that it's because they don't have enough registered voters? all white maine votes liberal, but all white montana votes conservative. I just destroyed your argument and point, and left you feeling empty for the rest of the week. sorry I had to slaughter everything you thought you ever knew.
that, my child, is what we call pwned.
Err...your question was about minorities. Why are you now talking about white people? Are they the minority in these southern states? Stay focused. The minorities in the southern states vote democratic, for the most part, and they lose because, well, they have fewer votes than the majority.
what causes the higher incomes though? the extortionists in the unions? been to detroit lately? I prefer a good balance. some of the blue states in the NE are a total nightmare as far as civil liberties.
i've never been to detroit. i heard it's in shambles....that it doesn't even look like it belongs in America.
education and earning power doesn't go hand and hand. I know this is hard for educrats to understand........but it's true.
You don't have to be insulting to make your point.
Blue states generally have higher incomes. Of the top 20 states with the highest incomes, Obama won 18 of them. Of the 10 states with the lowest incomes, McCain won all of them.
The real reason that most of the big cities are blue is that they have a significant number of people relying on government assistance. Those people will, of course, vote Democratic.
When you get above that lowest income group, that "upper lower class" and lower middle class is more likely to vote Democratic in the red states and Republican in the blue states. The upper middle-upper class is likely to vote Republican in the red states and Democratic in the blue states.

Like MCCAIN was a valid RED to vote for? pffffffffffft.
Ironically, the lowest incomes do benefit from Obama the most.

Is that difficult for you to follow?
ok. so why does all white vermont vote democrat, and all white montanta vote republican? I love the stay focused from a liberal who lives in the city of bob jones. enjoy, you're living a lie.
are you saying that only whites can make up their own mind? whites vote for both democrats and republicans. like I said, I think it's urban vs. rural.
Strangely, all these stupid, underedermecated people are bucking the
recession curb.
That has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

Most of the high earners graduated looooooooooooong before '04.
Come'on. I mean seriously.
It wasn't a survey of the percentage of residents who graduated in '04, it's a survey of what percentage of residents in each state had completed a Bachelor's Degree.
From the bottom of the page:
"Percent of People 25 Years and Over Who Have Completed a Bachelor's Degree, 2004"
