As we all know, churches and priests don't pay taxes.

I have no problem with that, if the priest makes a decent salary,
but there are priests that run mega churches and are millionaires and don't pay taxes.
While everybody else has to pay more in taxes to make up for their taxes.

Should they pay taxes?

Do priests run megachurches? I always thought priests took a vow of poverty. I think the megachurches are more of a baptist/protestant thing.

To answer the question though, yes.

No the government needs to keep out of religion just as religion needs to keep out of politics. Its like asking if the government should pay property tax really. The separation of church and sate wqas setup to protect religion from governamnt really. The poll question is rigged really to not reflect but a anti-religion view.

Seems school is out and the ninth graders are having their say.

They also file income tax returns and must pay taxes if due.

Nothing in the tax code that says clergy are exempt from taxes.

One tax the clergy can opt out of is social security but when they retire they do not receive social secuirty either.

How so, did I say priests didn't pay taxes? It seems someone needs a little summer school for reading comprehension!
