If Obama was a man of vision (vs a political hack) he'd raise the tax rate on capital gains back to 70%.

But the tax on the rich mentioned by the AP (our Izvestia) is also supported by 58% of Americans, fyi.

I know, let's just take all the sick people who can't afford heath care out somewhere and have them put to death. It's the only compassionate conservative thing to do. Freaking slackers. You shouldn't have chose to get cancer if you couldn't afford it. It's all about personal responsibility. Pull yourself up by those bootstraps, you bunch of whiners.

And let's not stop there. Let's go after those with health care insurance who get screwed over by their providers. If we let them die, it'll help maximize profits and that's the only thing that's really matters.

Come on, cons and repugs! Let's hear it!!!

U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A!

Don't let those commies, socialist, and the anti-christ himself, Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, win.

Pass a bill that'll allow the execution of anyone making under 20-30k a year or something. Get that cancer out of our society. Show'em what you're made of
whoa!

Other polls say something else.

Remember Leona Hemsley who famously said only the little people pay taxes?!
This was my point on the other Tax the Rich thread. As long as the loopholes remain, the taxes won't bring in what they are intended to from the over $350K + bracket. Once they realize this shortfall, things will turn to those who are already in the AMT zone. It ain't gonna be pretty.

Ever hear of rationing? That's what will happen. Someone will decide that an 80 year old with a devastating sickness does not justify the cost to keep him alive.

WE, the government, have the right to tell you you have to have health insurance so WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR YOU WHEN YOU GET SICK OR INJURED!!!!!!!!

Don't have a heart attack over it. If you end up in the hospital due to stress from posting on City-Data, your insurance company might not pay for it.

The private insurance companies are already doing that, but you do not have to be old to be denied needed treatment.

Don't forget that you won't be receiving any COLA for SS in 2010 or 2011.
