Too bad nobody watches Ed Schultz's show, much less MSNBC...... I wonder how many heard Ed Schultz challenge Rush?
I bet you ten times as many people heard Rush call Ed a horse... LOL
This is the MSNBC modus operandi. Pick a name that everyone knows, that's doing better than you audience-wise...and then give that guy free advertising/more publicity by going after him so people want to check out that other guy's show. It doesn't matter who they mention. It's just a really dumb tactic. Again, ratings/advertisers don't care whether you like some guy's show, they just care that you watch/listen. So, if Scultz or Olbermann keeps mentioning Limbaugh or O'Reilly, even to people who don't like them, and the end result is that those people tune in Limbaugh and O'Reilly to see how they'll respond, well, the recipients (Limbaugh and O'Reilly) of the audience should send Schultz and Olbermann a Thank You card. When Team Obama kept mentioning Limbaugh his ratings went through the roof. Even Hannity's TV ratings went up when Obama kept mentioning him. It's free advertising. I just don't understand why the dumbos at MSNBC haven't figured this out, yet.
I listened to Rush this week in the car (instead of listening to music) because of this thread. Schultz, I just looked up his photo on the web to see who he was.

He's had a radio show for about 5 years and now has a TV show.
I am sure. It must be so because no one ever heard of this chump and he has zero ratings. He must be some orator! lol
I've been listening to Ed ever since he has been on a NY station. He's got his principles in absolutely the right place. He is on the side of working class America and the guy can wipe the floor with Limbore in any argument and that is why Limbore will never respond. You might not be aware of who Ed Schultz is, but Limbore is. Ed Schultz broadcasts from 30 Rock in New York City and Limbore spews from his compound in Florida where he can hide behind blinds.

Interesting that all liberals seem to offer is insults.
Making references to someone's weight is not an intellectual argument.
Neither is chortling about someone's struggles with addiction to prescribed medication (yes, it was prescribed for pain after Limbaugh underwent very serious cranial surgery to address a near total hearing loss.)
The 'compassion' of liberals in the wake of someone's surgery and it's aftermath is appalling, to say the least.
I can't watch TV at work, but I can listen to radio shows. I listen to the music on my iPod, but after a while get tire of that and listen to Rush, or Savage later in the day. Years ago when I was younger I was somewhat liberal. That's not longer the case, but I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, and consider the leaders of both parties to be as crooked as they come.
As all human beings, I don't necessarily listen to anybody's "Kool Aid," just to what I want to listen. The Kool Aid is just background noise. If Rush is talking about something I don't want to hear, I change the station. The same goes for Savage.
Ed is on both radio and TV. I don't think he's actually associated with Air America, but you might find him on your local progressive talk station. As a PP mentioned, his main focus is the middle class, and I think that's great! He also likes hunting and fishing, and is from middle America (North Dakota). He frequently has callers from the right on the air. You should listen. You just might like him.

Interesting how all the left arm amputees "have never heard of" anyone who isn't clattering around in their own Faux News echo chamber. Be fair & balanced with yourselves - venture out onto the other end of the news spectrum. Ed Schultz is doing quite well on the 6:00 slot on MSNBC and I watch his show every chance I get. I also keep in touch with the far right end of things - altho' the information I find there is less reliable - just to hear what the chatter is. Go give Ed a chance - he's a plain talk, big ol' working class guy who advocates for all us working class people and points out the lies and contradictions that flow so freely from the mouths of reactionaries. You might just like him - he has been compared to Limbaugh, albeit with a competent fact checking staff. And say, wouldn't it be great if ol' Rush, instead of taking cheap shots about "Ed, the horse," would grow him a pair and accept Ed's invitation/challenge..!? It'd be good for his ratings too - even as he got his clock cleaned for free.
