Personally, I think it would be nice if CA and TX could get a long, since it seems we're the only states who really have big rivalry. We could just gang up on the rest of the states and have them do our bidding
That's what I try to tell the idiots in the Chicago forum with whom Southern Illinois has a MAJOR dislike for that is reciprocated....we should just try to get along and then go whip Indiana's ass and take THEIR goodies and start working our way in all directions then

King of the Hill may very well be my favorite show on TV.

My husband and I fell in love with TX last May. Love the hill country and the people were fantastic. I hope it becomes its own country soon.

Our house cost 1/2 again as much as our TX house, but it's also 1/2 again bigger.

Our electricity, water, trash collection and homeowners insurance COMBINED, cost less than we were paying FOR WATER ALONE in TX.

Our property tax is about 1/3 ($1800 versus $5200) of what it was in TX.

It's not all milk and honey though, our income tax went from ZERO to $1,000 per year.

Although Colorado does have some "colorful" characters in the state lege, at least the public viewing gallery isn't known as the "owner's box"!

AFAIK our governor never tried to BS his way out of a speeding ticket by saying "why don't you let us just get on down the road?".

Our governor has not talked treason on TV.

He hasn't called anyone a "Mo-Fo" when talking to a reporter.

All in all, much nicer here.

But yet I see that you had to earn the money HERE to be able to live THERE.

This will be quite entertaining for those of us

Everytime I think of Texas first thing that comes to mind is the movie THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and I then start thinking EVERY TEXAN is as nuts as that guy was in the movie LOL.........kind of stupid I already know
"THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE"

"Hooper initially took his inspiration from the Wisconsin serial killer Ed Gein,"
