Hey oz, I think it was you I asked if you ever complained about government employees running off to meetings spending our money during the Bush regime.
So, did you ever complain about that?
To answer your question -- I think they should have the meetings, but they should spend 100% in local places -- hotels, restaurants, etc.
I have complained(ad nauseum) about government waste since about 2000.
I think they shouldn't have such meeting at all...they have a phone...

To answer your question -- I think they might as well have the meetings if they dont have them every week, but they should spend 100% in local places, not chains -- hotels, restaurants, souvenir stores, etc.
When all of this took place under Bush like you say, did you defend it like your defending it now?

For whatever reason, they said no teleconferencing would be allowed.
Anyway it'll be interesting to see if they put a moratorium on things like this in the coming months and years, penny-pinching though they may be. OR if they take my brilliant advice and do it all locally (except the airfare).
