Now, I don't agree with the casino trip or "dance lessons" referenced in that article if those were funded by SSA. Regular travel/food, etc I see no problem with. They got a VERY good rate on that.
It doesnt matter if its cheap. What matters is they spent it when they shouldnt have spents a penny for any of it. Obama said that companies cant waste taxpayers money on conferences doesnt that apply to his white house?
Guess they couldn't find some empty Army barracks somewhere and had the meeting in the gym.

-No it is about the money, I've said in many threads on this board that I am sick and tired of gov wasting money and I dont care if its democrats or republicans wasting.
-If Obama doesnt know about this and them taking this conference hes clueless. So you are saying that Obama doesnt know whats happening in the depts of gov that he runs and in charge of?

I am so disgusted with hussein obama and his hellish spending! I can truely say I hate this man and I have never believed I had the capacity to hate. He is destroying this country and is intent on breaking the back of America.
Do you think Obama is the SSA conference planner, or what? Why would you blame him for this? SSA has a budget and I'm sure the parameters of what they can and can't do are spelled out in minute regulations. Do you think this is the first year the SSA has ever had a national conference?

What, exactly, does Obama have to do with this? Do you think SSA officials got together last November and said "Woo-hoo! Obama is president! Let's go live it up at the Biltmore!" As someone above said, you lose your credibility when you blame Obama for every government misdeed.
Having said all that, I'm sure there was a cheaper way to dissiminate all the necessary information without having to spend $700g and especially if some of it was spent on dancers and motivational speakers. Sounds like waste to me--but Obama didn't set up the itinerary or sign the checks.
