So why not settle for a two state solution?

Why does EVERYTHING have to be given back to the Palestinians?

Don't you think it's fair that Jews have some land too?

This is my point. People think there should be no Jewish state at all (but plenty of Muslim states) which is unfair.

What is the difference between a racist, apartheid regime like Saudi Arabia and Israel? Why not the same vociferous condemnations aimed at the Muslim state as the Jewish state gets?

Quack hee haw quack!
The world at large isnt calling for the elimination of syria, israel, or saudi...
But ya all there countries should be condemned, and an Israeli racist goverment with its apartheid regime should not be revered anywhere.

Go on and attack Saudi arabia on this site, i bet very few will answer back, where as if you just start a thread criticizing Israel, then you get tons of crap how israel is acting in self defense, and that the occupation of palestine is justified.

the palestinians can be given israeli nationality and given back their territories and homes for all i care.
But the injustice has to Stop, and israel has to understand that in this century a country that claims to be civilized can not deny the native populations their right in their homeland, or at least a part of it.

The whole point is not who gets haifa and who gets jerusalem, but the need for a solution that ends the conflict.
The palestinians and the jews can go to an international court that sets out whats rightfully israeli and whats rightfully palestinian.

the muslims and non muslim arabs are not against a state for jews, they simply are against the idea of it being established on land that some of them claim to be theirs and that they get denied the nationality of the country that claims their lands.

No problem with two state solution. That is fair.

At Camp David in 2000, Israel offered the Palestinians virtually everything they claimed to be seeking - a sovereign state with its capital in East Jerusalem, 97 percent of the West Bank and Gaza Strip plus land inside Israel, tens of billions of dollars in "compensation" for the plight of Palestinian refugees. Yasser Arafat refused the offer, and launched the bloodiest wave of terrorism in Israel's history.

To this day, the charters of Hamas and Fatah, the two main Palestinian factions, call for Israel's liquidation. "The whole world" may want peace and a Palestinian state, but the Palestinians want something very different. Until that changes, there is no two-state solution.

I realize that the thread go hijacked, but what does that have to do with base in Israel? I for one don't think we need a base in Israel, Iraq, or in most other countries. We certainly do not need a base in Israel since we have already paid for all of their fighter Jets. Although Israelis can not fly them as well as Americans, they will be just fine.

Um, they did go to an international court that set out what rightfully belongs to each. It's called the United Nations.

The Jews accepted the UN Partition plan in 1948.

The Arabs rejected it.

Details, facts, etc. They all get in the way of a good anti-Israel rant. Everything you say you want we had and the Arabs rejected it. Third party to split the land? That was the UN and the Arabs rejected it. A part of the land for the "native" population to have as a homeland? Um ya, the Arabs again have rejected it multiple times.

Quack.

Yes it was a detour. And I can understand why you would want to avoid an examination of the history of Palestinian Arab rejectionism of a two state deal. That's OK.
